Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting for Support Assistants for our clients in Mintlaw, Turriff, Strichen, Portsoy & Cruden Bay to work within supported living services, sheltered housing and care homes.

Support workers must be confident, outgoing passionate and enthusiastic with a desire to empower the life choices of the people we support

Flexible working hours full & part time to suit the right candidate. Rate of pay starting from £9.00 – £12.37

Key responsibilities of a Support Assistant:

• Promote independence, dignity and choice
• Provide emotional and social support
• Promoting and encouraging independence, while developing real life skills with the people we support
• Providing quality personal care, which could include bathing etc. depending on individual needs, while maintaining respect and sensitivity
• Supporting with household tasks, which include cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc. while encouraging the people you support to participate

Support Assistant requirements:

• Must have a minimum of SVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months UK experience as a Care or Support Assistant
• Existing PVG member, update required at a cost to yourself (£18 for existing PVG scheme members)
• SSSC registration or 6 months to register from date of employment
• Willingness to work above and beyond to maintain our high standards

In return we are offering:

• Support from an ASA Consultant from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week
• Excellent rates of pay (£9.00 – £12.37 per hour), paid weekly
