Community Services Task Supervisor

Description

Working with our local authority client’s Criminal Justice team based within Aberdeen, as a Task Supervisor, you will be anticipated to train, instruct, assess and supervise small groups of offenders who are undergoing their community payback orders. This is a challenging, part-time role for someone who has a good understanding of managing conflict and can respond to aggressive behaviour effectively whilst maintaining professionalism.

The ideal Community Services Task Supervisor would have worked within Criminal Justice previously and be prepared to work outdoors. Individuals with technical/trade backgrounds such as the professions below are also welcomed to apply by our Aberdeen based client:

• Painting and decorating
• Joining or carpentry
• Teaching
• Gardening
• Roles working with adults with Learning Disabilities
• Working in Psychology, arts/crafts.

The elected Community Services Task Supervisor should be able to display an understanding of both Adult and Child Protection, working with young people and adults from diverse backgrounds ensuring to uphold anti-discriminatory practice at all times. They should show a positive attitude and demonstrate good values, treating everyone fairly and act as example of consistent good behaviour.

Reports writing will be an element of the role in order for the Community Service Task Supervisor to maintain and update our Aberdeen client’s records.

There could be some use of our client’s vehicles and equipment so the Community Services Task Supervisor will be required to have a current UK driver’s Licence. As well as this, they should have membership to the PVG scheme and the willingness to undergo an update in order to be considered for the role of Community Services Task Supervisor in Aberdeen.

Hours of work will be up to 30 per week and will be non-stand which will include weekends.
