Mechanical Fitter

Description

ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter for their Aberdeen based client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for plant and equipment maintenance in accordance with procedures.

Responsibilities :

* General plant and equipment maintenance, in accordance with procedures and manufactures guidelines.
* Function checking of all plant equipment
* Assist with PUWER & LOLER compliance and ensuring that all is in accordance to applicable legislation
* Assist with the visual inspection of all plant, equipment and ancillary equipment (both company owned and 3rd party) prior to mobilisation
* Assist with the compilation of check sheets, to facilitate stores manifesting
* Assist with ensuring that accurate inspection records are maintained
* Assist with compilation of certification packs including and ensuring that all valid

Time served mechanic with excellent product knowledge and experience in a similar role in the oil and gas industry are essential.

The following are desirable : CompEx, COSHH & Manual Handling & Forklift

Offshore travel may also be required
