ASA Recruitment are currently looking for talented Cooks to fulfil short term roles in Glasgow & surrounding areas.
We are looking for Cooks with a strong background of working in nursing homes who can hit the ground running!
Our Clients range from smaller independent nursing homes with 12 residents to larger homes with 100 residents.
A strong background in cooking & baking using fresh ingredients is essential
Your main responsibilities will include: food preparation, to cook and serve both hot and cold food to meet the resident’s dietary requirements, keeping the Kitchen clean and tidy and adhering to the CookSafe guidelines.
All applicants should have:

– At least 6 months UK experience in a similar role.
– Svq Level 2 or equivalent qualification
– A good work ethic, with clean and tidy presentation and work in a clean as you go manner.
– Flexibility towards work and preferably your own transport although not essential.
– A good knowledge of HACCP and COSHH practices.
– Food hygiene certificate essential.
– Full driving licence preferred due to locations.
– Full PVG.
