Finance Assistant

Are you ready to take on a challenging and dynamic role? ASA is seeking a Finance Assistant on a temporary basis for our public sector client (initially 3 months) . This role is integral to supporting the Senior Finance Analysts.

Job Purpose:

As a Finance Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

Month End Management Accounts and Financial Performance Analysis:

Support Senior Finance Analysts in ensuring timely delivery of month-end processes.
Assist in the month-end Bank and Balance Sheet reconciliation process, resolving items promptly.
Finance and Operational Reporting

Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in metric targets, working closely with key stakeholders.
Critically appraise the effectiveness and strategic alignment of operational metrics, providing recommendations.
Decision-Making Support:

Contribute to enhanced analytical insight into the drivers of teaching activity and organisational analytic across the college.
Provide leading measures on student recruitment performance, conducting impact analysis to drive key actions.
Offer efficient and effective service for finance issue resolution, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Ad Hoc Project Work:

Agresso experience is desirable
Proven experience in finance, with a focus on management accounting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide insightful analysis.
Knowledge of operational reporting and KPIs.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
