Project Planning & Estimating Engineer

ASA Recruitment are recruiting for a Proposals, Planning & Estimating Engineer for our renowned engineering client based in the Altens area of Aberdeen.

The role requires to prepare quotations based on input from customers and sales personnel that reflect financial and customer care objectives and prepare all work pack information required for work processing. This includes drawings, route sheets, additional information sheets and material requirements.

Duties :

* Prepare quotations based on input from customers and sales personnel the reflect the company’s financial and customer care objectives.
* Liaise with technical support to ensure, for complex components, that the company has the capability and knowledge to carry out the requirements
* Review customer requirements related to the relevant product or refurbishment work and ensure that the company has the ability to meet the defined requirements
* Prepare all work pack information required for work processing, including drawings, route sheets, additional information sheets and material requirements
* To monitor the progress of work orders and discuss with Production Support to ensure on-time completion and optimum financial control on all designated tasks.
* Report to customers in a proactive manner. Keeping them fully aware of any issues.
* Liaise with Purchasing to ensure the timely expediting of purchased materials and services.
* Discuss manufacturing resource clashes with the Production Manager and/or Production Supervisor.

Knowledge & Experience

* Experience of working in a busy engineering production environment.
* Should have experience of reading engineering drawings
* Must be computer literate
* Have a good working knowledge of ISO 12001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS would be beneficial.
