Content Designer

Description

We are seeking two skilled Content Designers for an exciting opportunity within a prominent public sector organisation. The initial contract is for 6 months, commencing January 2024, with potential extensions up to 23 months, subject to review. The role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow with hybrid working and occasional travel around Scotland where required. The contract is deemed to be inside IR35.

The Role:
As a Content Designer, you’ll be immersed in the end-to-end user journey of a service, contributing to policy delivery by creating or modifying digital and offline content, transactions, or products. Your primary focus will be to ensure that users encounter relevant and easily understandable content in various formats across platforms. Collaborating with user researchers and stakeholders, you’ll translate user needs into effective content design approaches or services, maintaining a user-centric approach throughout.

Responsibilities:
· Independently create and refine content for seamless end-to-end services, simplifying complex language and processes.
· Implement appropriate content styles and standards.
· Manage stakeholder relationships, using evidence to justify decisions and balance priorities.
· Collaborate with user researchers to understand user needs based on solid evidence.
· Contribute to and support programme and project assurance activities.
· Participate in the Digital, Data and Technology team community by reviewing processes, tools, and guidance.

Requirements:
· Demonstrable experience in web writing, creating user-centred content, and utilising data and user feedback to enhance content.
· Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
· Hands-on experience with content publishing systems.

Package on Offer:
· Initial contract of 6 months, with the possibility to extend up to 23 months.
· Inside IR35.
