Description

ASA are immediately seeking a Programme Manager for our public sector client and this will initially be on a 16-month contract with a possible extension.

The role will be Hybrid and based in Glasgow with travel required throughout the Glasgow city region.

As a successful Programme Manager, you will work on the Innovation Regions Programme with participating authorities to deliver a programme on a large scale this will be centred around Social Housing and Health and Social Care monitoring.

This is an interim position that falls outside of IR35

  • Manage ongoing projects and programmes towards innovative outcomes of nationwide significance. This includes coordinating the project and keeping it on track and on budget.
  • Work as part of a passionate and highly motivated individuals supporting the successful development and implementation of the project and related processes.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, resolve any problems as they arise.
  • Review and decide whether to approve/reject change request from the project managers, considering the impact of the changes to the overall programme, consult with appropriate stakeholders if needed.
  • Review quarterly project report and ensure all requirements are met.

Successful Candidates will need:

  • Experience within industry, commerce, the public sector, or the higher education sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Recognised methodologies such as Agile and prince 2
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in MS Project, excel and word.
  • Ability to collate, organise, analyse, and use information to plan and deliver services and improvements.
  • Experience of supporting and providing guidance plans for a large complex project.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the management of behavioural change through negotiation, and influencing others.
