Are you a part-qualified Accountant looking for a new role?

ASA Recruitment are working with an investigative public sector organisation to source an experienced Finance Officer to join the ranks on a permanent basis. This role is suitable for candidates based within travelling distance to Hamilton to work on a hybrid basis.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Deputise for Finance Manager where required, reviewing and authorising all payments processed
• Prepare or review all month end reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and processes in conjunction with the Finance Administrator
• Review and analyse management accounts as prepared by Finance Officer adding insightful commentary, as well as producing the balance sheet and cash flow ensuring balance sheet accounts are suitably reconciled
• Design and maintain an accurate forecast of spend against budget, highlighting any potential over or under spends projected

So, what are we looking for?

• Degree qualified or part-qualified accountant with a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAS etc)
• Experience within a similar financial role
• Experience of public finance and financial regulations in Scotland
