Description

Our client in Aberdeen require an experienced Work Planner to co-ordinate the work of the Building Services Tradepersons and ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient repair service to tenants through work scheduling, client communication and effective use of workflow of resources.

Typical working hours are 8am-4pm Mon to Fri (but may vary) with an hourly rate of £12.69 per hour (PAYE) plus holiday accrual.

The postholder needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding and experience of building construction work and all main building trade activities

The postholder will be expected to:

* Ensure effective staff deployment when allocating work to Tradespersons
* Plan work with the customer and manage expectations within available resources
* Manage Tradespersons schedules
* Monitor timescales of work and respond to fluctuating demands including reallocating resources when required
* Carry out administrative tasks including recording time, materials and job activities accurately

Required job specific skills and competencies:

* Proven ability to use IT equipment and software packages
* Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
* Proven ability to work to deadlines
* Proven ability to work with conflicting demands

The postholder needs to display the following organisational behaviours:

Required Ongoing Development for postholder:

* Internal training course on Asbestos awareness and Legionella awareness ( within 1 month )
* Training on internal IT packages ( within 1 month )
* Online equality and diversity interactive training course ( within 1 month )
