Project Manager

Description

Our client based in Dundee is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and support key projects across the organisation. Currently operating hybrid working model.

Role Purpose:

Your role will be to manage project governance and resources throughout the project life cycle to ensure that their projects are delivered within agreed timescales and produce the desired results.
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for planning and assigning work, assessing risk, co-ordinating the work of the project team and communicating progress to the Digital Programme board.

Essential experience & knowledge required:

· Sound understanding of best practice and industry trends in programme management.
· Knowledge or and experience in successfully applying recognised programme and project management methodologies with in-depth knowledge of at least one core set of methodologies.
· Demonstrable evidence of leading complex, strategic, transformational programmes across multiple business areas.
· Demonstrable experience of identifying and managing project interdependencies.
· Experience managing budgets and programme resources including cost modelling and monitoring expenditure.
· Experience of benefits management and realisation at programme level.

Essential skills & abilities:

· Flexible approach to work with excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Ability to lead a team and to delegate responsibility while maintaining overall direction in order to effectively manage change.
· High level of logical reasoning and analytical abilities capable of breaking down and understanding complex issues.
· The ability to use initiative to make decisions under pressure.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Good attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express and articulate information clearly.

Essential qualifications:

· Professional project management qualification such as Prince 2 or APM Professional.
· HND in project management or equivalent.
