Description

Our client require an experienced Vehicle Mechanic for their busy Fleet Workshop in Aberdeen.

Reporting to our client’s Chargehand / Foreman the successful applicant will have experience of:

– Complete inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment to required standards
– Carry out duties in compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures
– Operate equipment to the required standard and report any defects to line supervisor
– Complete paperwork as required

Job specific competencies:

– Ability to work on own initiative
– Ability to communicate effectively with customers

To be considered for this role you will:

– Hold a minimum City & Guild or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
– Hold a Full Driving License
– Be willing to work outside in all weathers and occasionally work outwith normal working hours

Within a specified period the postholder will have or will be expected to have undertaken the following:

– Data Protection Essentials – OIL Module ( or equivalent )
– Protecting Children – OIL Module ( or equivalent )
– Manual Handling Training
