ASA are delighted to be working alongside a market leading IT organisation with global reach. Our client are currently looking to bring an ambitious Accountant with experience of financial reporting into their small finance team. The successful candidate role will have strong experience in dealing with reporting while also have an appetite to take on transactional duties including credit control tasks and preparing sales invoices.

A dynamic and self-motivated candidate will thrive in this position, which is a great fit for someone who is currently studying for a professional accountancy qualification. In the long term there are genuine opportunities to progress within this growing organisation.

The duties of the Accountant role will include:
– Preparing financial accounts on a monthly basis
– Working alongside and presenting reports to senior management
– Liaising with internal stakeholders in regards to the debtors ledger
– Managing the credit control function
– Preparing sales invoices
– Managing the upkeep of staff top- up cards
– Dealing with various reconciliations
– Dealing with the expense submission process which occurs monthly
– Assisting with the preparation of entity accounts at year end
– Liaising with auditors
– Ensuring year end accounts can be closed in a timely, accurate manner
– Reporting into the Finance Director and Financial Accountant and assisting them with ad hoc duties as and when required

The Successful applicant will have:
– Familiarity with preparation of financial accounts
– Experience with credit control and debtors ledger duties
– Strong Excel experience
– Excellent communication skills in order to pass on reporting information to senior management
– Knowledge of financial reporting packages would be beneficial
– A background in a fast paced working environment
– A strong desire to meet deadlines and take on duties as and when required
– The ability to self-motivate and work unsupervised on their own initiative

The main working hours of the Accountant role are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. In return for this 25 holiday days on top of statutory holidays are on offer as an excellent salary package dependent on experience.
