We have an exciting opportunity for a General Assistant to work with our public sector client in Banchory. Shifts with this client would see you working within a modern, purpose built very sheltered housing complex set in a secluded area of Aberdeenshire. You will have domestic responsibilities – the site has 24 one bedroom self-contained flats in a three storey block as well as duties supporting in the kitchen. Shifts are either 0800-1600 or 1030-1630 and can be week days and weekends.

Our ideal candidate should be hard working and reliable, comfortable working as part of a team and take pride in completing their work to a high standard.

Responsibilities Include:

• General cleaning of communal areas
• Sweeping, mopping and hoovering of floors as appropriate
• Cleaning of all surfaces, furniture and fittings
• Assisting the kitchen team with food preparation
• Cleaning duties within the kitchen including washing dishes

Requirements:

This position is based in Banchory, Aberdeenshire – applicants must be able to travel and work in this area. A PVG for adults is required for this role, an update or new application will be required prior to employment. You must be physically fit, able to follow instructions and be able to work unsupervised to be successful in this position. A keen eye for detail and awareness of COSHH procedures is also required. This role is only suitable for those with at least 6 months experience working in the UK.
