Are you an experienced Development Worker looking to deliver a large scale exciting new community project in Glasgow?

ASA Recruitment are working with a large scale Public body to source an experienced and highly capable Community Development Manager, this role would see the successful individual working towards the opening of a new nature reserve in North Glasgow.

The Role:

This role would focus on key areas which will lead to the success opening of the park to the public:

• Ecology – Utilising a passion from a background in working with the natural Environment to achieve key deliverables
• Communications – Engage with the local steering groups, stakeholders and communities as the face of the project and secure funding to ensure the longevity and sustainability of the post and project
• Operations – Identify and develop a programme of events and activities in tandem with key community groups
• Facilities management – Produce a 5 yearly review of the local management plan whilst working with external partners to promote ongoing sustainability
• Progress reporting – Create and implement methods of recording local data in relation to visitors, volunteers and other key areas

Successful candidates for the post will need:

• To be a fantastic communicator and leader who can be the professional and trusted face of the project
• Able to deal with a range of stakeholders to procure ongoing and new funding sources
• Previous experience of site management with sound knowledge of health and safety principles
• To be passionate about working with communities ideally with some experience of working in the natural environment
