Financial Controls Manager

ASA are currently working with a Scottish business who are looking to enhance their existing high profile group finance function by appointing a Financial Control Manager. This is a fantastic and unique opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a national company with a global presence.

Role responsibilities:

• Ensuring that there are comprehensive governance, risk and control frameworks in place
• Identifying internal control issues or risks
• Ensuring processes throughout the business are compliant
• Managing process improvement projects and implementation of new processes
• Ensuring that all reports are prepared for the audit committee
• Being the point of contact for a number of external bodies
• Dealing with finance and non-finance colleagues on a regular basis

The successful candidate for this role will:

• Be a qualified accountant – ideally from a top 10 firm
• Have experience of working in a large and complex business with various entities
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Be able to demonstrate a strong background in internal audit, assurance or financial controls
