ASA Recruitment are working with a large scale Public body to source an experienced and highly capable Head of Statistics and Standards, based in Central Glasgow. This public sector body provides essential services across all of Scotland and a strong senior statistical background is essential.

The Head of Standards and Statistics role:

• Manage and work to maximise all resources and people within the clients statistics function and external contractors to ensure that all agreed targets are delivered on time and in budget
• Manage the evaluation of the clients existing standards, statistics and methods of quality assurance to ensure they meet all stakeholder requirements and promote public confidence
• Develop and maintain key relationships with key internal and stakeholders both nationally and across the UK
• Lead the statistics and standards team during the next 6 months to deliver a valid certification model underpinned by valid and clear statistical approaches

Successful candidates for the post will need:

• Significant experience in a similar senior role or educated to SCQF level nine as a minimum requirement
• Experience of planning and providing strategy at an executive level and creating and assessing corporate goals
• Senior level communication skills with an ability to address a range of key stakeholder both internally and externally
• A high degree of numerical and analytical evaluation skills that to address a high daily volume of high level queries
