Description

ASA are supporting a leading specialist healthcare provider to recruit for a Registered General or Specialist Mental Health Nurse to work with a Community Hospital in Lanarkshire. With a strong reputation and a presence of hospitals throughout the UK, the organisation delivers a wide range of services in adult mental health and learning disabilities, specialist brain injury, child and adult mental health services (CAMHS) including eating disorders and social care for children with special needs.

As the ideal candidate for this Nurse role, you will look to deliver the following key traits:

· Development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care including discharge planning for each patient
· Protecting and supporting the health of individual patients / residents
· Assessment of care and health education needs
· To work in accordance with the organisation’s Nursing Strategy and contribute to achieving the organisation’s strategic objectives.
· To take charge of the ward/department/unit in the absence of senior nursing staff.
· To be an active participant in the multidisciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilising appropriate assessments.
· To act as the primary nurse for inpatient stay.
· To ensure that clinical practice is evidenced based and consistent with relevant NICE guidelines and the organisations policies and procedures.
· To undertake clinical supervision to further develop competence and clinical practice.
· To act as a mentor/preceptor to students/support workers as appropriate.

To be eligible for consideration for this Nurse role, you will:

· Be an RGN or RMN, registered with the NMC
· A background in delivering nursing care to the service user groups based in the facility
· Be a driver with access to own vehicle (due to service location)
· Have availability for an immediate interview
· Be able to demonstrate skills in all areas mentioned in the job role key traits
