Occupational Therapists work in partnership with their clients and client's family members to achieve person centre objectives and enhance daily living. Sometimes this can involve the assessment and implementation of specialist adaptations and equipment to make movement and the completion of day-to-day tasks achievable as well as building confidence in their client. The Adult Community Care team within Clydebank are seeking an Occupational Therapist who can deliver on the above to service users within the Dunbartonshire area.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the successful Occupational Therapist will use your excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, carers, colleagues and additional agencies to ensure to promote positive sustained outcomes for the adults within your case load in Dunbartonshire. As a social services Occupational Therapist, you will travel to the homes of clients to fully assess their individual needs and accurately report these using the council's technological systems.
To be considered for the role of Social Services Occupational Therapist within Clydebank's Adult Community Care team, you must:
· Have a diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
· Be registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC)
· Have experience working with Adults with a wide range of conditions
· Have a UK driver's licence and access to a car
