Trades Supervisor

Description

ASA Recruitment are currently looking for a Trades Supervisor based in East Lothian, who will be responsible for the management and coordination of a team of trade operatives, ensuring the delivery of high quality construction, fault fixing and maintenance services.

3 month contract

Monday – Thursday – 8:00am – 4:00pm

Friday – 8:00am – 3:30pm

Responsibility:

Craft Workers (Builders/Blacksmiths/Scaffolders/Labourers/Apprentices) and other staff (where applicable to the post).

Essential Requirements:

Relevant HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience or Time served modern apprenticeship in Building (or equivalent) and passed skills test.

• Basic Disclosure check
• A current driving licence and use of a vehicle
• Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Effective organisational and time management skills
• Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

Previous experience

• Relevant trade experience in building/property environment
• Relevant building experience
• Experience of supervising staff
• Co-ordinating labour resources
• Excellent customer service / customer care
