Test Analyst

Description

ASA are working with large public sector client looking to hire 4 Test Analysts in Glasgow on an initial 6 month contract.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience;

• Experience of delivering test analysis in large-scale complex environments
• Experience working within software systems development lifecycle ideally on large scale national IT system solutions.
• Ability to understand, interpret, deliver and measure against business-driven requirements
• Experience with Test Management Tools (e.g. HP Quality Centre/ALM)
• Experience of working in business critical environments
• Understanding of different software development methodologies and their impact on testing
• Experience of applying risk-based testing principles.
• SQL and/or ORACLE
• Previous public sector experience would be preferred

Key responsibilities

• Identify and design test cases and test scripts, mapping back to pre-determined criteria and maintaining traceability
• Perform systems, interface, integration and acceptance testing
• Analyse and report test activities and results
• Initial review and initial impact assessment of unexpected results
• Support defect triage and own reporting of unexpected or unsatisfactory outcomes according to client requirements/test strategy
• The holder of this role will work under the direction of a Test Lead
• Stakeholder management
• Travel out with the Greater Glasgow area will be required

The Benefits

• Monday to Thursday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm with 1 hour for lunch. Friday 8.30 am to 4.00 pm with 1 hour for lunch.
• 37 hours per week excluding lunch breaks
• 36.5 days holidays pro rata from day 1 of the contract
• Paid weekly
• Potential to be extended
• Central Scotland location
• Dedicated account manager with one point of contact
