Support Worker

Description

We are recruiting for dedicated and passionate Support Workers to work in Angus – in particular Montrose, Forfar and Arbroath. The client is a well-known charity offering support throughout the north east of Scotland and empowering the life choices of adults, young people and children. Some shifts are only required for a few hours so is ideal for those in the area.

· Weekly pay from £11 up to £11.75 per hour as well as holiday pay

What are my responsibilities are a Support Worker?
· Allowing service users safe access to the community – this may be out for walks, to go shopping or to work or college
· Making a positive difference to residents and service user’s everyday lives
· Encouraging independence as much as possible in all aspects of
· Participate in household tasks; cleaning, cooking, ironing, washing etc
· Support with meal times or domestic tasks

What do I need?
· A caring and compassionate personality
· Strong listening and communication skills
· At least 6 moths experience working in care in the UK
· Motivation to work individually with minimal supervision to a high standard
· Willingness to apply for a new PVG or update if already held
· Ability to work in above mentioned areas of Angus
