Support Worker

At ASA, we are currently for Support Workers available for work within Moray, particularly Aberlour surrounding area to join our growing team. This opportunity will see you working with a leading charity working closely with individuals and their family to develop a person-centred support all over Scotland. This particular single person support service offers 1-1 care for a fairly independent individual. This position would suit someone local looking for part time work or interested in picking up some extra shifts. Shifts usually are split into morning and afternoon shifts however can sometimes vary.

Our ideal applicant someone who is capable of lone working and motivated to continue to offer the highest standard of care and support while working individually. Some other requirements include;
· Ability to access work in Aberlour and surround area
· 2 references for previous healthcare work experience
· PVG for Adults application or update if an existing member

Each day can vary as a support work and there are no exhaustive lists of responsibilities, however some of the typical duties would be;
· Encouraging as much independence as possible
· Providing support with household domestic tasks like cooking and cleaning
· Accompanying the service user into the community
· Getting involved with activities and hobbies the service user is interested in
· Personal care where required

Lots of people have never worked for an agency before and are unsure what to expect. We can offer you a flexible work approach where you select your own shifts to suit your availability. ASA pay weekly with hourly pay rates of £12.50 (week day) and £12.75 (evenings and weekends) for this Support Worker role. Contributions to travel expenses can also be made for those travelling from out with the immediate area.
