Are you looking to build new relationships within the public sector in a media focused role?

ASA are looking for a Stakeholder Relations and Social Media Officer to join the public sector in Glasgow. This contract opportunity would be perfect for an individual who’s comfortable working autonomously in a fast pace environment and would suit candidates from Glasgow and the Scottish central belt.

The Role:
· Work closely with the business and its employees creating content, writing media releases and creating press materials.
· Keeping up to date with external and internal developments that are integral to the client and in turn, brief key spokespeople and communicate key messages to the media.
· Proactively manage social media channels and create web and social media content, including; Blogs, Tweets, Posts and new material for various channels.
· Work in conjunction with clients across all levels of the press and the Scottish Government to keep them up to date on statements, Developments and deal with misinformation.
· Deal with difficult incoming enquiries in relations to ongoing or incoming incidents.

Successful candidates Stakeholder Relations and Social Media Officer role will need:
· Experience in advising on highly complex and often sensitive or controversial PR issues.
· Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject e.g. Public Relations, Communications with demonstrable experience in the field of media communications including experience of dealing with significant media issues.
· Solid Experience of developing, delivering, maintaining and measuring social media strategies to meet objectives.
· Experience, credibility and people skills to deal with key stakeholders at a senior level.
