Our Orkney based client are seeking a Locum Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time for a minimum of one month on their stunning island. If you are a qualified Speech and Language Therapist and have experience working with adults in both hospital and community settings, we would love to hear from you!

Offering to pay up to £500 in travel and accommodation expenses, our NHS client is currently seeking a locum Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time on the idyllic island of Orkney for a minimum of four weeks. The desired Speech and Language Therapist will be available to begin work immediately and also have a UK driver’s licence to assist them with accessing vulnerable adults within Orkney’s community.

The successful Speech and Language Therapist will be passionate about bring positive change to service users and will be using this to aid them in managing a case load of clients who are living with neurological degenerative disorders such as dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease. As a result of this it is crucial to have a qualification and experience in dysphagia assessment and management.

To be considered for the rewarding role of locum Speech and Language Therapist, you must have the following:

· Qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
· Membership with the PVG scheme and willingness to undergo an update
· Competency in Dysphagia therapies and techniques
· UK driver’s licence
· Available immediately, full-time
