Social Programme Management Developer

Description

We are seeking a Social Programme Management (SPM) Developer to assist with the development of new SPM features and products, and to work alongside colleagues to ensure that new and updated services are thoroughly tested for performance and quality. Based in Edinburgh this contract is initially for 6 months.

Main duties:

· Assist CDO staff (developers and data specialists) with the design and implementation of robust, scalable, open and secure SPM services within the Funeral Expense Assistance system and Young Carers’ Grant systems
· Coach and mentor software developers, database administrators and analysts
· Work with other specialist teams in CDO division (e.g. Digital Risk and Security) to deliver usable, accessible solutions that meet users’ needs and exceed user expectations

Essential:

· Significant hands-on experience of IBM Social Programme Management (SPM) software
· Extensive experience with SPM business analysis, design, development, architecture, integration, production support, and project leadership
· Deep understanding of the SPM Enterprise Framework (CEF)
· Technical proficiencies in Java SE, J2EE, SQL, NoSQL, Spring, JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, JUnit, Object Oriented Analysis, UML 2.0, ANT, Maven and Node.js.
· Application proficiencies and experience in IBM WebSphere, Eclipse, Rational Software Architect, IBM DB2, Linux, CVS, Subversion, Tomcat, JIRA, Axure.
