Creative, tactical and engaging are qualities that our public sector client is seeking in their appointment of a Social Media Manager in their Edinburgh offices.

As Social Media Manager based in Edinburgh, your responsibility will be to deliver our client’s social media strategy to a high standard with the objective being to heighten visibility as well as engagement with a wider audience.

In order to achieve this, it is anticipated that the Social Media Manager manages the day-to-day output across all of our Edinburgh based client’s online platforms, creating a content calendar illustrating the needs and priorities of the organisation and adjusting these where required to enhance its influence. The Social Media Manager will use analytical tools to determine areas that require improvement and to monitor impressions and engagement. Facebook Business Manager will be one of the channels that the Manager is required to operate.

Generating graphics and advocating the brand voice and visuals is required for the position of Social Media Manager as well as identifying opportunities to create stories using these. The successful Manager will be working in partnership with video production teams and communication colleagues in order to develop optimal social media content.

To be considered for the role of Social Media Manager in Edinburgh you must have:

• Demonstrable experience undertaking a similar role
• The ability to create good quality graphic independently
• The ability to analyse data in order to adapt content to be more influential to stakeholders
• Great interpersonal skills and able to communicate with individuals at all levels across the organisation
• Basic Disclosure Scotland or willingness to apply for one
