Based in Edinburgh, our private sector client is looking for a diligent healthcare professional, such as a Nurse, Dental Nurse or Care Manager in Edinburgh with experience in business development and management to maintain and advance their satellite services across the Central Belt as a Service Manager.

One in seven individuals in the UK experience hearing difficulties which can impact relationships in both their personal and work life. This can cause frustration and result in isolation from social interactions. As a Service Manager, you will play a significant role in working together with these individuals to help them re-engage with the important people in their lives and be able to continue safety in the activities that they enjoy.

Although experience within audiology is an advantage, our client is offering full audiology training to the successful Service Manager in Edinburgh to adequately equip them with the ability to carry out microsuction. This important service aims to prevent earache, tinnitus, hearing loss and infections. Taking this into account, our client is glad to consider individuals without prior experience in audiology but direct understanding of patient care, through their previous position in a healthcare or social care position such as a Nurse, Dental Nurse or Care Manager.

Microsuction is the most efficient method of earwax removal. A small medical suction device is used by the trained healthcare professional to swiftly remove earwax. The process is non-intrusive and has no contact with the ear drum nor sensitive areas of the ear canal. That being said, some individuals could be anxious about this process, therefore the desired Service Manager will approach their clients in Edinburgh with empathy, reassurance and prioritise the patient journey.

As well as working in the clinics where necessary, as a Service Manager you will be required to manage a team of microsuction trained professionals and will work towards expanding existing and acquiring new clinics throughout Edinburgh and the Central Belt. You will work closely with the company’s wider team and communicate efficiently with other hearing healthcare professionals and healthcare providers in achieving this.

In order to be considered for the role of Microsuction Service Manager in Edinburgh you must have:

· Experience working in the health or social care sector
· The ability to forge and sustain professional relationships with clients
· Hands on experience in patient care
· Be available ASAP for full-time hours
· Be a car driver and owner
· Prior experience in business development and management
