Senior Service Designer

Are you an experienced Service Designer ready for your next contract in the Scottish public sector?

Our client are currently looking for a Senior Service Designer on contract. The role will be to design the end to end journey of a service, working with various stakeholders throughout the design process.

Remit:

· Champion design for users that require assisted or accessibility technologies to access a service
· Be an advocate for inclusive, accessible user-centred service design practices
· Support design and implementation plans to ensure both user needs and business requirements are met
· Prototype and validate proposed design solutions

Essential Criteria:

· Experience in a digital service setting, designing and delivering a wide range of inclusive user-centred design, including: supporting design teams, negotiating design briefs, leading design activates and delivering service outcomes based on the user.
· Ability to choose and apply appropriate user-centred design methods (from data gathering, idea &concept generation, and prototyping) for different design life cycle phases and situations.
· Ability to communicate design approaches and insights effectively in such a way as to stimulate conversation and collaboration.
· Knowledge of other user centred design practices and experience of collaborating with them for service delivery.

Applicants must have Disclosure Scotland Certificate dated within last 12 months
