Senior Project Manager

Our Edinburgh based client are looking for a Project Manager to join their team on 4 month contract. This role requires the candidates to work form the office at least 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide effective project management services for the delivery of high quality solutions within the constraints of resource, time and quality
• To provide programme management services for one or more business areas working closely with customers and colleagues to ensure the delivery of the programme and its related projects and services, establishing the long term vision and defining the annual plan for project delivery
• To develop and maintain a detailed understanding of business processes and requirements ensuring business needs are effectively met through appropriate use of new technology and business process re-engineering
• To provide senior representation for SCS and the University on appropriate internal and external groups

Kay Applicant Requirements

• Convene and manage programme meetings with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with priorities, budgets, milestones, and governance standards.
• Lead project delivery by managing resources, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to best practices in planning, risk management, and execution.
• Develop business cases, option appraisals, and funding bids, contributing to process improvements and adoption of best practices in project methodologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve project issues, prioritise activities, and manage risks and scope changes within programmes.
• Foster relationships with internal and external partners, including suppliers and resource managers, to ensure effective delivery and resolution of issues.
• Demonstrate extensive expertise in project management, business analysis, and IT solutions, delivering strategic objectives and influencing senior staff.
