Senior Finance Manager

ASA Recruitment’s well-known Public Sector client is looking to on-board a Senior Finance Manager to work in a team established in 2018, for an initial 6 month contract.

As the Senior Finance Manager you will lead transition activities for Corporate Finance, ensuring all products that transition have been fully impacted for their interests to ensure a smooth transition.

Responsibilities include:
· Implement governance processes around the project to ensure there is a full audit trail and provide assurance to Senior Finance Leaders
· Provide expert financial advice to internal and external stakeholders at all levels
· Implement and manage the transition plan for Corporate Finance ensuring there is adequate time and resources to support the project
· Develop robust processes to ensure all costs are captured and are within the financial plans and ensure there is sufficient funding with a full audit trail
· Liaise with other teams within Corporate Finance to establish where the transition impacts their areas

As the Senior Finance Manager you will:
· Have the ability to navigate audit and accounting requirements in relation to a high profile programme of work, and develop these in practice
· Be able to demonstrate how you can provide clear direction to navigate complex issues and competing perspectives at different levels, internally and externally
· Be a professionally qualified accountant – CCAB/CIMA professional accountancy body or equivalent with up to date CPD
· Have significant financial experience preferably in a change environment
· Have experience of working in a Programme or Project environment, preferably within the public sector
· Have the ability to implement and improve systems or processes and negotiating with stakeholders
· Hold a current Basic Disclosure
