ASA Recruitment is delighted to be working alongside our client based in the South Lanarkshire area to find an experienced Senior Draughtsperson.

In this permanent role you will have:
· ONC/HNC or higher in Mechanical/Piping Engineering
· Minimum of 8 years piping experience
· Knowledge and basic skill level of 3D model system
· Previous PDMS or PDS user.

Key Objectives:
· To supervise, assign, and schedule work, usually for a major project or several minor projects, simultaneously, in coordination with the Head of Engineering. May supervise specialised technical subgroups.
· Support of Tendering with Designs and Drawings on one or more tenders.
· To develop quality and excellence in the staff, standards and procedures within the drawing office piping group.
· In conjunction with the senior discipline engineers to ensure module/equipment layouts are fit for purpose.

Main Duties:
· To liaise, give guidance to the drawing office team to ensure that the project layouts are fit for purpose as well as compliant with project specifications.
· Input to Project Planning, with regard to the sequencing and production of drawing office deliverables.
· Review client’s “Draughting” specifications and identify any areas of VWSW practices which are not covered by the client’s specifications and prepare supplementary specifications/clarifications as required.
· Developing of 3D plant designs from P&IDs and tender drawings.
· Checking vendor drawings, P&ID’s, 2D drawings, & 3D design model, conducting design reviews.
· Develop tender and preliminary drawings.
· Distribution of piping design work within the drawing office piping design team.
· Developing and implementing drawing office standards and procedures.
· Training and mentoring of junior draughtsman in the performance of their duties.
· To implement and develop in conjunction with the PDMS Administrator – Aveva software suite.

In return you will receive:
· Salary £50k – £60k
· Achievable 10% bonus of salary
