Roads Maintenance Engineer

Are you an experienced Roads Maintenance Engineer (RM) looking for temporary position with an immediate start? Then we have the role for you!

Your new role

Preparation, tender and management of contracts and awarded works, whilst undertaking the design and supervision of roads maintenance projects, including measurement and feasibility studies.

The RM Engineer will be responsible for:

• Assist and advise in the assessment and procurement of road condition surveys and collate interpret and report on the output of such survey
• Prepare annual/3 yearly structural works estimates and programmes
• Implement revenue and capital maintenance works in accordance with Best Value Practice
• Maintain a Quality Assurance System to all aspects of design and construction works
• Apply computer-based modelling, design, drafting, contract preparation and measurement packages to the work being undertaken

What you’ll need to succeed

• HNC or equivalent in a related discipline and/or Membership of appropriate professional body
• Experience of leading and managing a team
• Experience of success
• Knowledge of statutory processes and consents required in the promotion of flood alleviation schemes
• Experience in flood risk assessment relating to planning applications
• Ability to travel to sites throughout Angus as and when required
