Registered General Nurse (RGN)

Description

Our public sector client are looking to recruit a RGN (Registered General Nurse) for temporary contracts and ad-hoc shift work based in the region of the Scottish Lowlands of Lothian with the principal settlement being the Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh. As a Registered General Nurse (RGN) you will be registered with the NMC and have worked within a hospital environment in the UK for a minimum of 6 months.

An insight into the role of an RGN…
You will be required to:

· Provide care to patients and residents based on their care plan outlined by their doctor.
· Accurately monitor and record observations on patient’s conditions.
· Maintain accurate records of residents care, financial procedures, and medication administration.
· Carry out risk assessments.
· Prepare patients and assist with treatments, surgery, or exams as needed.
· Ensure storage and disposal of medication is carried out according to policy.
· Participate in clinical improvements and offer ideas on clinical and non-clinical policies.

To be considered for the position of an RGN you will need to have:

· A minimum of 6 months experience working within a hospital environment.
· A strong care nature who puts patient care as a number one priority.
· A growth mind-set in order to expand your experience across a number of client sites.
