Are you a Project Quantity Surveyor looking for your next contract challenge in the public sector?

ASA Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a full-time Project Quantity Surveyor for a busy role in Scotland”s central belt.

Please note, this role falls within IR35 legislation.

The Role:
· The successful candidate will be based within a Facilities Unit of Development Services where they will look after property repairs, maintenance and statutory compliance matters for the client’s main operational estate.
· Taking responsibility for commercial aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
· Administer and provide an account management style service to various forms of construction contracts.
· Responsibility for for providing financial advice throughout the duration of any property management contracts.
· Producing estimates, bills of quantity, cost reports, valuations and final accounts.

Successful candidates for the Project Quantity Surveyor role will need:
· A candidate with PQS or consultancy experience rather than a contacting background would be preferred, with more experience in pre contract duties.
· Effective communication and negotiation skills.
· Understanding of conditions of contract for building contracts and contract procurement.
· The ability to prioritise work for delivery within tight deadlines.
· Technically competent with an ability to work autonomously.
