Description

ASA are currently seeking a Project Manager to run a large scale web services/API project within the public sector on an initial 6 months contract in Glasgow.

This a great opportunity to play an integral part in a significant nationwide project.

The scope of project management role will include:
· Working with Procurement advisors to oversee procurement delivery and subsequent on-boarding of a suitable supplier that will take forward the specification of requirements
· Directly managing a team that will include a Solution Architect and Business Analyst.
· Working with a project stakeholders ensuring all necessary reporting and governance requirements are adhered to
· Working with supplier(s) ensuring the proposed scope is delivered to time, cost and quality.
· Delivering projects within a PRINCE2 and/or Agile environment that exceed a financial value >£1m
· Set-up all relevant project governance.
· Budget monitoring & reporting
· Ensuring the proposed technical areas of work (i.e. data gathering, journey planning, fares and website / mobile app development) are planned, scoped and requirements clearly defined
· Manage all risk, issues, assumptions and dependencies to ensure the project is effectively managed and controlled.
· Establishes plans, and executes major milestone reviews and decision gates.
· Oversee budgets and undertake budget preparation, financial profiling and report on contractual expenditure

The ideal candidate will come from the following background;
· A working knowledge of large public sector or Scottish Government procurement processes, and associated Frameworks, including an awareness of the OJEU procurement process.
· Experience delivering large scale web services projects that exceed a financial value >£1m, including API, App development.
· Possess a formal qualification in Association for Project Management, Prince 2, Agile or equivalent.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience.
· Experience working in the industry and with technical suppliers who operate within the field.
