Are you an experienced Product Owner looking for a new and challenging role within the public sector?

ASA are currently looking for a Product Owner to take the lead developing a new benefits solution for a contract role based in the Scottish Central belt.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to design, develop and deliver a specific product from initial inception through to integration of the new service within the existing programme infrastructure
• Write options appraisals, business cases and provide information that enables the overall programme to procure the appropriate technology and services. Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
• Research and analyse markets, users, and the overall roadmap for the product
• Define and obtain stakeholder buy-in for your product and the approach to deliver
• Create effective, prioritised product descriptions and delivery plans to meet user needs in a cost effective way
• Use a range of product management principles and approaches and is able to coach others, understand what is most important and applicable and is able to work with a wide range of specialists in multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

• A strong ability to define growth opportunities and communicate and present these to an array of different stakeholders
• Time and people management skills that would allow the successful candidate to work in partnership with a range of different teams and colleagues to promote best working practices and new ideas
• The ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and set priorities for yourself and others using previous experience of recognised methodologies
• Experience of similar roles in the Public sector would be advantageous
