Description

Are you a proactive Procurement Manager with Public Sector experience? Are you looking for a temporary role? Then we have the role for you!

Your new role

Provide comprehensive support across all areas of procurement, to ensure sound commercial practice and full compliance with all regulatory directives.

You will be responsible for:

  • Be a prime contact point for all procurement related matters or queries, and to provide specific guidance and advice to all internal business teams
  • Undertake procurement opportunities (tenders) from strategy creation through to contract award, including, where relevant; sustainable procurement and community benefits/wealth-building related requirements
  • Implement procedures and processes in support of all procurement activities to ensure complete compliance with all regulatory requirements, and mitigation of all commercial risks relating to the procurement of goods and services
  • Assist with the delivery of Procurement Strategy Action Plan

What you’ll need to succeed

  • A proven track record in leading public sector procurement activity
  • A strong knowledge of procurement legislation as well as experience of Public Contracts Scotland tendering
  • Strong communications skills to lead and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
