Are you an experienced communicator, looking to play an essential part in a large scale Glasgow event?

ASA are looking for a Press Officer to work with an established team to prepare and deliver the COP26 event. This contract opportunity would be perfect for an individual who has the experience, credibility and previous experience dealing with press enquires reactively.

The Role:

• Provision of a continuous ‘press office’ service for media
• Manage media enquiries and co-ordinate responses with other delivery partners where required
• Liaise with partners and stakeholders on proactive cop-related PR campaigns and stories. Developing PR plans and implementing them
• Write copy for different communications channels including web, social media and news releases and any publications /hand-outs needed
• Monitor, collate and analyse publicity in relation to COP26 providing daily coverage bulletin

Successful candidates for the Press Officer role will need:

• To be Glasgow based
• Experience of supporting the delivery of corporate communications, marketing campaigns and corporate events
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet targets
• Knowledge of the media landscape and the ability to build working relationships with the press and stakeholders
• Experience of an environmental or sustainability background would be a major benefit
