ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Manager on behalf of a successful business based in Edinburgh.

Although this is not an exhaustive list, below is an idea of the varied workload associated with the role to help illustrate what’s involved
· Polytunnel, nursery and tropical plant house maintenance
· Supervising and making up plant displays and installations
· Plants are temperature and tropical so one day you could be nurturing tropical plants in the hot house, the next using nematodes on our nursery stock and hanging baskets.
· Running a team of six.

What you will need to succeed in this role
· Driving licence essential
· Horticultural experience essential
· Forklift licence (not essential)
· Chainsaw licence (not essential)
· Spraying certificates (not essential)
· DIY skills
· Pest Control knowledge
· Compost knowledge
· Must be a modern and effective communicator
· Must have an ability to fit into our team
· Must be sustainability and safety conscious

In return the company are offering full training and support as well as a competitive salary from £24,000 per annum depending on experience with the scope to develop your career further within the business. 40 hours per week – 8.00 – 16.00 or to suit.
