Network Communication Engineer

Description

ASA are working with a large business within the public sector and are currently looking for a Network communication Engineer with experience in installing, maintaining and repairing communications systems and associate equipment.

In this role you will be responsible for:
· Implementing and supporting the companies network infrastructure, including LANS’s, WAN’s, mobilising systems, radio, paging and telephony systems.
· Repairing and maintaining interfaces in Control Rooms to the radio and telephone bearer networks for data and voice signalling
· The installation, configuration, administration and support of the following:
VHF/UHF radio systems
Tetra voice and data communications
Mobile data solutions
GD92 paging systems
Satellite communications
Telephony systems
Voice-Over-IP Telephony Systems
WAN’s, LAN’s and WLAN’s
Airwave Firelink system and associated Mobile Data Terminals

To be successful in this role you will need:
· A high degree of competency and experience with network and telecommunication systems in a large enterprise environment
· HNC/HND Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
· To be able to work effectively and safely under the working at heights regulations
· Detailed experience in relevant system technology, with knowledge of VHF/UHF radio, voice communications, satellite communications and networking technologies
· ItIL V3 Foundation certificate

This role offers a secure 5 month contract working Monday to Friday for a large scale public sector client that is flexible on the location of this role (Hamilton, Johnstone, Dundee Newbridge or Inverness)
