Within 2019, it is anticipated that one in every four people will experience some form of health problem. Our client in Inverclyde believes that no one should battle a mental health problem in isolation. They are looking for a Qualified Social Worker with Mental Health experience and MHO accreditation who will empathise with, advocate for and support adults who are experiencing mental health struggles and undertake the rewarding role of a Mental Health Officer (MHO) Team Leader.

As a Mental Health Officer (MHO) Team Leader you will be required to use your great organisational skills to maintain a busy service, ensuring to keep accurate records and reports whilst maintaining the service’s core values at all times. Focussing on realistic goals your team will plan, facilitate and manage care plans for people with mental health problems within Inverclyde.

Undertaking risk assessments to safeguard the service users and yourself is an essential day-to-day activity for the Community Mental Health Service so our Iverclyde based client is seeking a Team Leader and Mental Health Officer (MHO) with prior experience monitoring staff who are undertaking these. In addition to supervising junior health and social care professionals, the successful Mental Health Officer (MHO) Team Leader is required to have:

– Degree or equivalent in Social Worker
– Registration with the SSSC
– Mental Health Officer accreditation
– Experience working in community mental health at a Senior or Team Manager level
– Membership with the PVG scheme and the willingness to undergo an update
