Marketing and Communications Manager

Are you an experienced Marketing and Communications professional looking for an exciting project in Edinburgh?

ASA is recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join a public sector client to lead the design and implementation of the marketing and communication strategy for the organisation.

You will be involved with delivering marketing and communication activity across a range of strategically planned and reactive opportunities across all channels.

Responsibilities:

· Lead on the design and implementation of an overall marketing strategy
· Design and implement an activity plan to ensure proactive and innovative communications
· Contribute to the design and development of the overall approach to external engagement
· Design and develop creative products – presentations, briefings etc.
· Plan and implement direct marketing approaches including targeting, personalisation of messages and measurability; data analysis, customer profiling and segmentation
· Manage the marketing and communication delivery plan ensuring related milestones are achieved on time and within budget
· Act as first point of contact for the Chair and Chief Exec with regards to offering strategic presentational advice and external communications such as providing support with conference presentations
· Produce comprehensive briefings, Q&As, speeches, presentational material and other information

Requirements:

· Experience managing external communications collaborating effectively in a wide range of settings and with different audiences
· In-depth knowledge and understanding of the full media mix, including social media and the impact technology is having on communications and collaboration
· An excellent understanding of how to use marketing tools and techniques
· An aptitude for collaborating with different partners and agencies to deliver an integrated joint communications strategy
· First-class written and spoken communication skills
· Ideally you will have a membership of a recognised industry body such as the Institute of Internal Communication or the Chartered Institute of Public Relations
· A Basic Disclosure certificate
