Janitor / Caretaker

Description

Are you a Janitor with experience of working within schools and community centres? Do you have Caretaker/facilities experience?

As an experienced Caretaker or Janitor working with ASA Recruitment you will be expected to:

· Lock and unlock the buildings and check to ensure a safe and secure environment
· Undertake security sweep for intruders
· Conduct daily inspections, reporting faults/concerns to the Helpdesk
· Clean external areas, including litter picking, sweeping, clearing drains and external door glasses
· Undertaking general porterage duties, including moving furniture for the setting up of rooms and halls for events, performances, exams and meetings

Successful Caretakers and Janitor candidates based in East Lothian should have:

· Experience within a similar role is essential
· Ability to work on own initiative
· Practical skills in identifying and/or carrying out standard repairs
· Good communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service
· Working knowledge of health and safety

It is a recommendation from ASA Recruitment that you apply for a full PVG disclosure or an update on your current PVG if required. (Full PVG costs £59) – (updates cost £18)
