Are you passionate about computing and technology and looking for a new challenge within the IT sector?

ASA are looking for an IT Service Desk Technician to work within the public sector in the Ayrshire area. This contract opportunity would last 6 months and best suit someone comfortable working in first line support.

The IT Service Desk Role:

• Using your experience and knowledge of the area to support the build, delivery and installation of IT hardware
• Comfortable installing a range of technology from single devices to individual areas/departments to larger volumes
• Assisting a team of engineers in day to day tasks

Successful candidates for the Service Desk role will need:

• Educated to HND level in computer and Network Support or equivalent
• Trained in Microsoft Windows 10
• IM&T help desk experience using various remote access tools
• Effective troubleshooting skills and a knowledge of LAN infrastructure
• Technical knowledge of proprietary business applications and operating systems
• Communication
• Prioritising
• Customer care
• Demonstrates using own initiative
• Demonstrates responsible attitude
• Professional appearance
• Team Player

Desirable Skills:

• MCP/MCSE, ITIL Foundation, SDI SDA
• Trained in VM View Client & remote access Support
• VM View Client & iGel UMS, Netcall Management agent
• IM&T experience within a large, diverse organisation
