IT Engineer

Description

ASA is working with a business within the public sector and are currently looking for an IT Engineer with experience working in an IT Support role.

In this role you will be responsible for:
· Building, deploying and maintaining the companies IT infrastructure using the latest technologies including:
Ø Windows server
Ø Storage Area Networks
Ø Virtualisation
Ø Unix Server Applications
Ø Networking Technologies
Ø Internet Connections
Ø Windows Desktop
Ø Mobile Devices
Ø Application packaging and deployment
· Delivering technical support and solutions to all members of staff
· Providing technical support to the IT Service Desk staff as required
· Mentoring and supporting less experienced and technically competent team members and supporting their development.

To be successful in this role you will need:
· To be educated to a relevant degree level in an IT discipline or have three years relevant experience working within a technical IT function
· Two years’ experience of implementing and supporting a network structure in 1 or more of the following technical specialisms:
Ø Client and Server Management
Ø Unix Server Applications Oracle/Solaris/Linux/Storage
Ø Wintel
Ø Technical Security
Ø Networking Technologies
· The ability to produce meaningful and concise written reports of a technical nature
· A strong customer focus and experience in contributing to team activities and tasks

This role offers is a secure 3 month contract, with an option to extend, outside the scope of IR35 working Monday to Friday for a large public sector client in The Central Belt
