Description

ASA Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Industrial (Electro/Mechanical) Technician based in Poole, Dorset for their client who’s UK headquarters are based in Aberdeen.

Duties :

To contribute to the development and be fully engaged in the operation of a small manufacturing facility which has medium and high volume requirements. This being the preparation of small components (high volume) and sub assemblies for integration into larger assemblies (medium volume). Working alongside the Mechanical Process Design Engineer in the development and build of the systems that will handle and prepare the small components, ready for introduction processes, creating sub assemblies and flowing through further medium volume production processes. The role also includes input to the implementation of an efficient process flow, required services and locations and layout of production processes within that flow. One of the workstations involves the use a laser welding system, in which full training will be given.

Required Knowledge & Experience :

* Methodology required to handle/manipulate small components in high volume.
* Conceptual thinking to achieve successful solutions in the operation of component handling and Process Flow Schemes.
* Collating, analysing and presenting production data.
* Understanding of process and instrumentation diagrams.
* Working with mechanical installation diagrams.
* Able to understand electronic schematics for assembly and operation.
* Experience of repairing or assembling electronic & electrical systems.
* Able to debug electro/mechanical systems.
* Interaction with various internal personnel, ensuring delivery schedule.
* Qualified to HND level or equivalent.

* Ability to prepare, organise and perform multiple work assignments.

* Repair and test of analogue and digital electronics.
* Experience with operation of laser welding system.
