EXPERIENCED INDUSTRIAL CLEANER

Are you an experienced INDUSTRIAL CLEANER currently looking for on-going possibly permanent work in EAST KILBRIDE

ASA Recruitment are currently working alongside our manufacturing client and they are looking for an EXPERIENCED INDUSTRIAL CLEANER to work day shifts Monday to Friday at their client’s production site in EAST KILBRIDE Ayrshire.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

• Carry out all hygiene tasks required by the hygiene rota in each respective area that has been assigned within a Production factory and to keep all employee’s working in a clean, safe working environment.

HOURS OF WORK: MONDAY TO FRIDAY 08.00hrs / 4.30pm

PAY RATE: £9.00ph x 40 hours per week

Duties & Accountabilities:

• Clearing / collecting cardboard to be recycled from the warehouse floor
• Collection of general waste
• Collection of broken pallets to be recycled
• Clearing / collecting of redundant pallets to be uplifted
• Monitor all recycling bins in canteen and warehouse to be emptied when required if not sooner
• Keep production warehouse floor clean and clear by brushing and using a ride on floor washer
• Prepare and be responsible for any cleaning equipment used to carry out hygiene duties.
• Be fully conversant with the operation and care of any mechanical cleaning equipment used in conjunction with your hygiene duties
• Ensure that all equipment is kept scrupulously clean and maintained in good, safe working order.
• Any faults to be reported to the production manager
• Assist in any Ad HOC requests
• Report immediately any incident or accident such as fire, theft, loss, damage to equipment, property or stock
• Carry out any reasonable task as directed by management

• Flexible to work various shifts if they arise.

Essential: Skills, Knowledge and Experience of working in a production enviroment.

• Have all round cleaning factory / Warehouse experience
• Be able to work on own initiative and manage own time
• Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management team
• Have good knowledge of H&S
• Comply with company and factory statutory regulations relating to safe systems of work health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness
• Excellent service skills and safety practices
• High Level of personal hygiene and self-appearance
• Adherence to on site Drug and Alcohol policy
• Deliver a consistent level of service within the company’s standards
• Participate in any necessary training and team meetings as required to complete job to the company standards.
