Description

We are seeking a qualified and self-motivated HR Adviser to provide advice, guidance, expertise and support to a range of colleagues. With a successful track record in operational HR, you will enjoy the opportunity to manage your own priorities as well as contributing to the wider HR agenda. Based in Edinburgh, this contract is initially for 4 months.

Main duties:

· Providing support and advice to managers on individual casework including absence management, grievance and disciplinary issues, redundancy and redeployment etc., ensuring that cases are managed properly and in accordance with current legislation and best practice
· Informing senior members of staff on all aspects of HR to ensure they are aware of current legislation, best practice and, policies and procedures
· Undertaking the grading of new posts as well as supporting any restructuring exercises
· Participating in organisation wide projects

Essential criteria:

· Qualified in Human Resources Management (CIPD or equivalent)
· Thorough in-depth knowledge of employment law, including equality and diversity legislation
· Tact and the ability to deal with difficult and sensitive situations
· Experience of using SharePoint for documentation collaboration, sharing and form automation
