Homeless Support Worker

Description

ASA are currently working with a fantastic organisation in Glasgow who provide supported accommodation to young people. We are looking to recruit experienced homelessness support workers for temp to perm contracts.

Working 35 hours a week, the role of Homelessness Support Worker in this instance will include –

• Supporting people in temporary accommodation to acquire the skills to manage their own tenancy
• Supporting service users with making/attending appointments
• Providing emotional support and encouragement to make and achieve goals
• Acting as a positive role model to the people that you support

To be successful in this role, candidates will –

• Have previous experience in working with homelessness
• Knowledge of addictions and accompanying behaviours
• Be warm, friendly and able to connect with service users in a meaningful way
